aura in New Age belief refers to the energy field emanating from the surface of a person or object. This emanation is visualized as an outline of cascading colour and may be held to represent soul vibrations, chakric emergence, or a reflection of surrounding energy fields.




What is an Aura?

Everything in the Universe from thoughts to atoms are made up of vibrations.  Aura's are defined as energy fields emanating from the surface of a person or object. This definition is sufficient for the purpose of reading Auras, providing that we can train ourselves to see the Auric vibration.  Aura's around living objects change with time and sometimes very quickly.  Aura's around non-living objects are fixed.

The technicalities of the human Aura are quite complicated and rather unecessary for our website.  Bascially, though, it is composed of electromagnetic radiation, spanning from microwave, infrared (IR) to UV light. The microwave and infrared part of the spectrum relates to the low levels of the functioning of our body (DNA structure, metabolism, circulation etc.) whereas high UV light is related to our conscious activity (such as thinking, creativity, and emotions).  It is the high frequency UV light which is the interesting as it is this part can be seen with naked eyes.
